Specific publications and courses spanning from KS1 to KS3 and young adults enabling young people to follow a complete journey of wellbeing through their youth.

With years of experience in the wellbeing industry, it became obvious that our young people need a different way forward when tackling health and wellbeing.

Millions have been spent on deciding what our youngsters need to improve overall fitness, but rarely have they been asked what THEY want. Our society is very much led by teaching from above – down, rather than listening from below – up! 

This is where we come in!

We initially designed MOG (My Own Guide to…) for KS2, through various focus groups with primary school pupils and teachers. This project has adapted vastly over the pilot period, and we now have a dynamic, fun and supportive 6-week course. Through delivery, we were then asked to produce a version for younger children in KS1, this is our Mini MOG, in addition to an older version, My Own Journal to Live Well. ​

Each publication has been designed with actual beneficiaries, therefore tailored to the wants and needs of our young people.

Two members of our specialist team will come to your school or community group for 6 weeks.

During these weeks we work closely with the young people a to advise and learn through activities focussing on the key areas of wellbeing, coping strategies, health, nutrition and exercise.

Each child will receive a copy of the MINI MY OWN GUIDE TO… (Mini MOG). An activity pack tailored to ages 5-7 to take home including: home growth activities they can do with family members a water bottle and activity tools.

+ Our WOW, Wheels of wellness facility will visit the classes 4 times during their 6 week course for bouncing fun!

Two members of our specialist team will come to your school or community group for 6 weeks.

During these weeks we work closely with the young people to advise and allow them to learn through activities focussing on the key areas of wellbeing, coping strategies, health, nutrition and exercise. Their journal is theirs to keep and should be private to them for work through, makes notes and complete with their own personal feelings and emotions.

Each child will receive a copy of the MY OWN JOURNAL TO LIVE WELL (MOJ). An activity pack to take home tailored to ages  7-11 including: home growth activities they can do with family members a water bottle and activity tools.

+ Our WOW, Wheels of wellness facility will visit the classes 4 times during their 6 week course for bouncing fun!

LIVE WELL AWARDS / 18-24 YEAR OLDS


An 8 week award programme where young adults who want to work towards improving thier lifestyle can mix with new friends and our specialists to make and achieve new health and wellbeing goals.

This course Is limited to 6 per session for the purpose of forming a community and feeling comfortable to share thier personal experiences with eachother.

The course includes: Our phygital Live Well course with digital animation.

Outdoor activities such as archery, walking and horse riding, a healthy lunch  and a private workout in the iCan gym.

Work experience in the health and wellbeing field, cv writing skills and much more..

ADULT COMMUNITY


Then it’s onto adulthood where they can join iCan / WeCan or seek support from our Live Well Guide.

WOW HIRE SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY GROUPS

 

Hire WOW to come to your school for a day or session!

During these sessions the children will benefit from mini trampoline activity where they won’t realise they are working out! Improving their exercise levels, muscle and bone strength and engaging in fun games where they learn about nutrition, balance and being proud of who they are.

Our playlist varies often and we have different playlist for changing age groups so a WOW visit is always slightly different and current. Sessions usually last for 30 minutes per group of 20 people. We can usually accommodate up to 8 groups in one day.

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID STRATEGY SITE

We are a proud Youth Mental Health First Aid Strategy Site was successful. Our network brings together people from all sectors across the region, such as health, education, local authorities and the voluntary and community sector, to work with children, young people and their families to make sure our work is more able to support them and have a positive impact. supported by the ICS.

We are proud to be part of a small but growing network in the North East and North Cumbria that plans to make a real difference to children’s services.
